While tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC is used for short use, its psychoactive effects and the legalization of it is on everyone’s lips, the same plant ‘sneaks’ through the back door into the tobacco products. Cannabidiol, better known as CBD for short, makes the hemp plant, its active ingredients and medicinal effects accessible legally and without fear of contact.

We asked ourselves whether and to what extent CBD plays a role in e-cigarettes, how it works, in what form it occurs and much more. Below is our comprehensive guide to CBD e-liquids.

What is CBD exactly?

Cannabidiol is extracted from the female hemp plant called cannabis sativa or indica. It’s one of their 100 and more cannabinoids, which includes tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In contrast to her sister intoxicating cannabinoid however CBD has no such effect.

Since the substance has medicinal properties, the plant has been cultivated for a long time and the CBD contained in it is now industrially extracted and processed. The structural accuracy of the process ensures that the CBD extract does not contain any THC or less than 0.2%. From fancycrave  you can find the perfect solution here.

The mode of action

How CBD affects every human organism in detail has not yet been adequately researched. What we know so far is that it has a relaxing, calming, anxiety and antispasmodic effect on many people. It works differently than THC because it does not address the same receptors (THC attaches itself to the CB1 and CB2 receptors) in the human body.

It can help stop smoking, reduce epileptic seizures, chronic pain, and symptoms of 4Parkinson’s disease. By the way, our body also produces endogenous cannabinoids, the production of which is stimulated by the CBD.

In 2017 and 2018, studies were published that were carried out on children and adolescents with epileptic syndromes. The test results showed a significant decrease in seizures during treatment with cannabidiol (compared to treatment with a placebo preparation).

CBD as an ingredient in e-liquid

The e-liquid contains CBD as an additive, similar to nicotine. The CBD is processed in such a way that it can be added to the other ingredients of the e-liquid without hesitation. In addition, aromas can of course also be included.

However, it is advisable to exercise a little caution – as with other e-liquids. Published test results provide information about the exact ingredients. In addition to the pure CBD, other cannabinoids (except THC) can easily and without hesitation, as well as a list of terpenes. If so-called contaminants (undesirable substances, impurities) appear, the liquid must be refrained from.

Can you vape CBD oil?

Some confusion is being created in the CBD market, especially in the vaping sector. There is an incredible variety of different CBD products and by no means all, if not to say very few, are made to be filled into the tank of e-cigarettes.
